It belongs to Cherokee County, Alabama, not Cherokee County, Texas. Both agencies can appear under the same general sheriff label, so the presence of a county name and release filter is not enough.
Validate the jurisdiction before using any result. Texas county sources use Texas agency branding, Rusk addresses, and the 903 area code. The Alabama source uses Centre, Alabama and the 256 area code. A result from Georgia, Kansas, or either Carolina is also unrelated. Retain the source URL with any note because a screenshot stripped of its address can hide the state mismatch.
This distinction affects more than geography. Names, booking numbers, charges, photos, and timestamps from another Cherokee County describe different people and a different custodian. They cannot fill the gap left by the Texas county’s lack of a public feed.
Does the Cherokee Sheriff App List Releases?
The official-branded Cherokee County Sheriff TX app listing describes safety news, tips, crime reporting, and other interactive public-safety features. Do not infer a hidden release module from the app’s name or official branding. A live device test would be needed before describing any such function. Features can change while an app-store description or county link remains online.
